The first FX on Hulu spot broke new ground for streaming promotion. Like other streamers, it used montages of content from its original series, but match-cut in a way that we’d never seen before.
Why I like this spot
FX has shown remarkable discipline and brand consistency in its Hulu campaigns. They certainly have the best theme music and the new series they’re introducing fit remarkably well into a campaign template that’s more than two-years old. There may not be as many startling match-cuts, but the takeaway is the same: FX is a unique entertainment brand.
